I've not seen slavery in my lifetime, and since you are younger than me, you have not seen slavery in your lifetime either. America is still the land of opportunity if one wishes to pursue it, that is the freedom of choice for those who decide to NOT pursue opportunity. The only slavery of the American Individual are the imprisonment of one's one mind.
