The devil and Cinema Dave

I may have met the devil at some point in my life, but I fell asleep.

But today is 6-6-06,
so I guess I should acknowledge the devil is some sort of movie today. While it does suffer from a weak character climax, "Devil's Advocate" starring Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves is an underrated movie.

Released in October 1997, Director Taylor Hackford did an excellent job revealing how common place evil can be. Our character and destiny is determined by the choices we make in life. Pacino is great and over-the-top as the charismatic John Milton, a lawyer who takes an interest in a University of Florida Gator Law Student graduate (Keanu Reeves) who never lost a trial.

"Devil's Advocate" examines the themes of selling your soul in order to achieve a victory. As the devil says at an important climax,
"Vanity, definitely my favorite sin!"

Warner Brothers has retained some of their websites from many movies that were released during the Summer of 97. Take a peak, if you dare and learn about Dante's Inferno and the 7 Deadly Sins at

If the world does end in four hours,
I hope to meet you on God's golden shore.
