Actress Sue Scott, Tim Russell (the man of many voices), and sound-effects wizard Fred Newman will be on hand, along with the Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band, led by pianist Rich Dworsky. And, as always, fans of "A Prairie Home Companion" can catch up on the news from Lake Wobegon during Keillor’s signature monologue.
And if that weren’t enough,
Kevin Kline, Virginia Madsen, John C. Reilly and Meryl Streep will lend their vocal talents to the program. The four recently appeared with Garrison in a new film, also titled "
A Prairie Home Companion," directed by Robert Altman and scripted by Keillor. It opens in theaters nationwide on June 9. (http://www.aprairiehomecompanionmovie.com).
