Palm Beach International Film Festival begins! - CinemaDave

Apr. 4th, 2013 05:08 pm Palm Beach International Film Festival begins!

It has been ten years since the Boca Raton Resort & Club hosted the **8th Annual Palm Beach International Film Festival.** It was a historical night for the motion picture industry, which featured silent screen legend Fay Wray, recent Oscar winner Adrien Brody, Supermodel Carol Alt, venerable actor/producer Robert Evans, Director Bret Ratner and the King of Pop- Michael Jackson, all in the same room. Each year, **PBiFF** adds to this historical legacy.

This Thursday, **PBiFF 18** begins it's future history. **Decoding Annie Parker** is opening film this festival. Based on the true story of breast cancer survivor Annie Parker, this film stars Helen Hunt, Marley Shelton and Samantha Morton in the title role. The "real" Annie Parker is scheduled to attend opening night festivities.

Fay Wray
As the Observer Film Columnist for 14 years, the Fay Wray interview was
the most historical. She was one of the last stars of the
silent era. While she loved Erich Von Stroheim and "King
Kong," she STRONGLY disliked being known as a "Scream Queen."
