Lent Day 7 "Ted" the Comedy Hit of 2012, soon to be known as "The Year of Seth MacFarlane"

With the release of "Ted," Seth MacFarlane became a household name, despite the fact that MacFarlane's name appears on the end credits of Fox Television's "The Family Guy."

"Ted" is funny and features fine performances from Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and cameo appearances from people like Norah Jones, Tom Skeritt and Sam Jones from 1980's "Flash Gordon."

The most disturbing thing about "Ted" is the ammount of recreational drug use by the lead characters. It is as if Hollywood Comedy Producers did not learn anything from Doug Kinney, John Belushi and Chris Farley.

Given that "Ted" is an animatronic puppet, one wonders if Sinister Simon was a major influence upon this foul mouth Teddy Bear.
