JANET ANN GALLOW
and ADRIENNE BARBEAU
Michael has captured some great historical moments from these fine ladies. Without judgment, Michael interviews a variety women from a common profession, and allows them to state their point of view. The contrast between Ingrid Pitt and Coleen Gray is illuminating.
I love the insights that Anne Gallows and Elena Verdugo provide about Lon Chaney Jr. and their work on "The Ghost of Frankenstein" and "The House of Frankenstein. Michael also covers modern horror films with interviews from Karen Black and Adrienne Barbeau.
This is a must read for cinema historical purposes. This is a must read because Michael has written a fun book. In particular, I found this exchange between Matt and Coleen Gray illuminating;
Matt: I have heard you are a religious woman. Is that true?
Coleen Gray: I'm not a religious woman. I am a Christian. I am a sinner saved by grace.
I know where I am going which is a big relief.
