Rondo Hatton Watch: Boris Karloff is "The Ghoul," a 1930s product of Great Britain

At the height of his popularity during the early 1930s, Boris Karloff left Hollywood and returned to his homeland, England. While in the country, Karloff made "The Ghoul" which costarred Ernest Thesiger and Cedric Hardwicke, before the actor became a knight. In 1974, "Famous Monsters of Filmland" did a feature article about "The Ghoul."

"The Ghoul" is a flawed motion picture, a bit too long for it's own good. "The Ghoul" has some great shot composition with comic moments about greedy behavior.
