"Lucky Streak & the Crime Fighters” makes its world premiere

Comic book aficionado Director Kurt Donath always dreamed of making his own superhero movie. After two years of hard work, the film he made is being introduced to fellow comic book lovers at the Florida SuperCon. Donath is quite familiar with the venue; besides being a guest at the event for many years himself, he has brought some of his cast and crew to introduce the film's concept to the masses before filming was even complete. In fact, this showing will be the third year that the film's stars like Lucky Streak, Blue Comet and Amazing Grace have been on hand to promote the film.

Amazing Grace, played by Rachel Galvin, is a middle-aged mom who gets back into the crime fighting game when her daughter decides to begin her crime fighting career. Regarding the character, she commented, “Yes, I got out of crime fighting to protect her from that dangerous career and then she up and decided to join it.”

Galvin is quite excited about the debut of the film. “I have always wanted to play a superhero so this has been a great experience for me. I am so excited to finally get it out there to audiences.”

Nikayla Baldomero, who plays Blue Comet in the film, Amazing Grace's old sidekick, said, “Lucky Streak and the Crime Fighters was such a fun and unique project to be a part of. I am anxious, thrilled and quite proud to have the opportunity of having our film premier at this year's Florida SuperCon!”

Donath couldn't be happier. “It's been a long two year process. We have been blessed to work with loyal, dedicated friends, who are extremely talented at what they do. Making a film is a group effort and it's not just me who has been waiting for this day to come, but we all have poured so much of our time and effort into it. We are all looking forward to Supercon.”

He hopes to get some sort of distribution for the project or funds to do the sequel. He will be premiering the movie in a sequence of every other week webisodes also on June 18 on the producer, Tom Leeman's You Tube. Leeman also plays lead bad guy Dr. Dragon For more informtion on the film, visit For information on the Florida SuperCon, visit
