Jack was born May 26, 1959, in Norfolk Virginia, the youngest child of Capt Robert W. Finlay and Ruth Devine Finlay. Jack made lifelong friends wherever he went and as the son of a career naval officer, many of those friendships were forged across the US and Puerto Rico. Jack attended Roosevelt Rhodes HS in Puerto Rico and earned a BS degree from Florida A&M University majoring in graphic design. He settled in Tallahassee, Fla., and has touched many lives in our community.
Throughout Jack's 25-year career with the US Postal Service he nurtured a love of acting, art and music. His early work in local theater productions kept his passion for acting alive and over the last several years he established a wonderful relationship with the FSU Film School and has appeared in many student and independent films.
