Heckscher Park remembers 9/11

Cinema Dave has fond memories of Heckscher Park in Huntington, Long Island....

Making way for ducklings was a favorite activities for family....

...the beauty of the park inspired many a poet or artist.....

..that would inspire shows on stage for family and audiences....

...or a pagoda that would become a fort to one boy's imagination.

Cinema Dave moved away when was 10,
perhaps it is just as well,
because he used to like to climb trees and statues and water fountains!

In the middle of the park is the Heckscher Art Museum, it used to be free to Cinema Dave when he lived in Huntington.

Not much has changed at the Heckscher Park since Cinema Dave last visited in March 2001, yet there is one exhibit that one wishes it was never added...

This Memorial was not in Heckscher Park when Cinema Dave last visited.
As beautiful as it is, Cinema Dave still wishes it were not in place.
