Recently at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery IMAX Theater is **Harry Potter and the Half Bood Prince,** easily the 3rd best movie released in 2009 (**Up** and **Star Trek** still remain in the top 10). **Harry Potter 6** is a complete cinematic experience with an absorbing storyline and approachable characters.
Yet, the IMAX visual experience is not to be missed. Much like **Harry Potter 5,** there are certain scenes that require the use of 3-D glasses. For **Harry Potter 6,** the opening of the film features Lord Voldermort's attack upon the muggles of London. This sequence looked good on a regular movie screen, Cinema Dave can't wait to see this same sequence enhanced on IMAX 3-D.
This new film opens and closes with grey foreboding. In between are charming sequences of teen angst and humor. While wizardry and magic play a large part of the series, it is the growth of Harry Potter and his friends that managed to sustain such a large fan base. Having seen the boy beginning 6th grade at the Hogwarts School of Wizardry, we now see a young adult beginning his junior year of high school.
If Harry Potter survives this ordeal with the **Half Blood Prince,** he will be seen again in November for **Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book 1.**
