Sean (Madsen) accidentally kills a friend in the boxing ring. Sean vows never to fight again, but when his son falls ill, Sean is forced to raise cash, fast. With the help of the trailer park landlord (Patrick Bergin), Sean trains hard to fight one more battle against a determined and sadistic foe. Unlike the glory days of leather gloves, Sean participates in bare knuckle brawls.
We have seen this all before in "The Quiet Man," "Rocky" and "Cinderella Man," yet "Strenth and Honour" is still a good movie for a father to take his son to go see.
