Minimal Hurricane kills - CinemaDave

Aug. 26th, 2005 04:56 pm Minimal Hurricane kills

During Labor Day Weekend in 1979,
Dad, Mom, Chrissy the 16 year old Wonder Dog and I braved Hurricane David.
The storm turned out to be more hype than hindrance.
Last year, we endured the four hurricanes of South Florida and these storms were considered categories 3 and 4.

Within the last 24 hours, we have had to endure Hurricane Katrina, considered a minimal hurricane. Sadly we may have had more local deaths from this storm compared to last year's four hurricanes.

Katrina was considered a Category 1 Hurricane and people may have misunderstood that 100 MPH winds can be a dangerous event. Most of the deaths we are hearing about could have been prevented.
The ultimate horror.
