Tommy vs. Brookey

When I first heard about Kelly Preston's campaign against medicating children,
I kinda agreed with her and her scientology brethren.

As a former middle school teacher, I believed that administrators are too quick to encourage children on ritalin.
Often I felt there could be an underlying cause for a child's erratic behavior;
hormones,
over crowded classrooms
and burned out teachers.

However Tom Cruise has gone too far in his criticism.
Given his lucky lifestyle, it appears that Tommy C. has never suffered from either physical or emotional pain.

Brooke Shields did comment that Mr. Cruise had not suffered from post partum depression.
Ms. Shields was also too modest to mention that she earned a bachelor's degree from Princeton University
while Tommy Cruise's educational credentials are questionable. While academic scholarship has it's flaws,
Shields had to learn the discipline of formulating an argument or else she would not have earned her degree.
From what sources has Tom Cruise researched the history of psychiatry?

The medication question is a good public debate.
Hopefully these celebrities can put aside this paparazzi influenced bickering
and put forth some vital ideas about this subject.
