Cinema Dave  Swashbuckling ournalist and

Lent Day 35 Rondo Hatton Countdown Best Film....or Films!

2011 was a better year for films of the Rondo Hatton Classic Award Canon. Cinema Dave presents the trailers for 3 of his favorites, saving his best Rondo for last;

"Insidious" for good, old fashioned barnstorming promotion and attention to detail;

"The Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is more science fiction and Rondo Hatton, but the film provided fine drama and exciting action;

In terms of pure Rondo Hatton Classic Award, "Don't be Afraid of the Dark" fits all the categories. Bailee Madison deserves so much more credit for her performance;

Don't forget that Cinema Dave's Live Journal is nominated for Best Blog #18;

Cinema Dave  Swashbuckling ournalist and

Lent Day 37 Rondo Hatton Countdown Spooky Empire & Christine Clone

Spooky Empire has been nominated for Best Convention.

At the Empire, Cinema Dave reunited with Christine Clone and her caretaker, Rich Zapata. Cinema Dave introduced Rich to Linnea Quigley who introduced Rich to Petey Mongelli. Now Christine Clone has perfect attendence at ALL the Spooky Empire conventions!

Lent Day 39 Rondo Countdown Tribute to Gerald "Jerry" Carter

Cinema Dave also nominated the Late "Scary Jerry" Carter for a couple of nominations, Monster Kid, Hall of Fame...you name it, Scary Jerry did it all and Rondo should know it!

Before "Fright Asylum," there was "Jerry & Woody's Horror Movie Reviews." Jerry interviewed the late Bill Hinzman and partied with Joel D. Wynkoop.

Lent Day 40 Cinema Dave's distraction

Not to make excuses, but Cinema Dave has been distracted by many things this Lenten/Rondo Hatton Awards Season.

However it is nice to know that my Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award is giving Sinister Simon Nightmares!

Anyway, this is your last opportunity to vote before Midnight, April Fool's Day...which happens to be Lon Chaney Sr.'s birthday also!
