Cinema Dave Swashbuckling ournalist and

Holy Wednesday Conspiracy brewing

The Summer of '97 released many interesting movies.

One box office disappointment was "Conspiracy Theory," starring Mel Gibson, Julia Roberts and Patrick Stewart as the master villian whose "nose knows." This was a Robert Donner film and featured the "Mel Gibson/Robert Donner ensemble cast."

People expecting an escapism romantic comedy were disappointed, because this was a film that presented two leads that could not fall in love. That said, this was an interesting film that explored the fine line between paranoia and danger.

The soundtrack by Carter Burwell is excellent. As an encore, listen to Burwell's score and note how Cinema Dave was influenced by Jerry Fletcher's apartment.
