Rondo Hatton Watch: The Original "Friday the 13th"

Cinema Dave saw the preview for "Friday the 13th" on Broadway, which also played the preview for "The Blues Brothers" on an endless loop. It looked like another rip off of "Halloween" and featured girls screaming in dark photography. Due to the film's low budget and cast of unknown actors, "Friday the 13th" made a fortune for Paramont productions.

Producer Sean Cunningham sold the film with little more than a title and an idea to produce a movie with 13 murders. Thanks to Tom Savini, each murder became a creative endeavor, including a spear going through the throat of young actor, Kevin Bacon.

The final moments introduce Jason Voorhees, who was portrayed by young Ari Lehman. Lehman is now an accomplished musician whose music can be heard during the closing credits of "Jerry & Woody's Fright Asylum!"
