While I am busy in Fort Lauderdale with the Literary Cinema, the 22nd Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and the Moon Rock program; Jerry & Woody are on the road to Screamfest in Orlando!

Woody honored me in this DVD montage of horror actors and monsters. Like Lon Chaney Junior's billing, I am last, which is a way of saying I get top billing in Universal Monster movies. Either way, take a direct peek!

Week One of FLiFF concludes with "The Grand"



The Miniaci Performing Arts Center is the place to be as the festival kicks off with screenings of the " THE GRAND" at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm.

Following the Florida Premiere of the film, the evening takes on a Grander feel as we all head over to the Signature Grand the "Dancin' With the Stars" Gala hosted by Entre Nous and special guest, castmembers Dennis Farina, Richard Kind and director Zak Penn.

Hosted by Entre Nous, the support group of FLIFF, From 9:00 p.m. until midnight, guests can mingle with filmmakers, producers, directors and stars at the;Signature Grand ;;An elegant buffet, dancing to the music of Euphoria and a Silent Auction featuring trips, gift certificates and artwork to benefit the Film Festival complete the evening. A full cash bar will offer a wide selection of beverages.

When is the film, and how do I get tickets?
We will be screening "The Grand" at Miniaci at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm this Friday, October 19.

For the 1pm, 3pm, and the 5pm you can purchase tickets to the film alone or for the film and gala. For the nearly sold out 7pm, you can only buy tickets for the film and gala together, and for the 9pm, only the film (because you can't be at two places at once!). Or you can just attend the party.

The Miniaci Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of the Nova Southeatern University. Head west on I-595 about a mile west of I-95. At Davie Road, go south about;2 miles, take a right at Nova Drive (24th street), then a right at College Ave, a left at 30th street and a left into the parking garage.
