Superbowl XXXVIII - 2004

Patriots vs. Panthers have a great second and fourth quarter, but a dull defensive first and third quarters.
Famous for the Janet Jackson nipplegate,
which I did not think I saw...until I heard the news on the next day.

Superbowl XXXVI - 2002

The Patriots defeated the Saint Louis Rams, a two touchdown favorite team, in a thriller, 20-17.

The first Post 9/11 Superbowl,
this Superbowl and the seven game World Series sent a major signal to terrorists that they are unable to defeat the American way....

Superbowl XXXV - 2001

A great pre game show with Ray Charles singing "America."
Then the party ended when the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens took the field.
Baltimore won,
much to the despair of the long suffering Cleveland Brown fans.

2000 Superbowl XXXIV - 2000

The Saint Louis Rams dominated this game for 40 minutes in a defensive struggle.
Then the Titans woke up and lost it in the last second.

The winning Coach Dick Vermel did not cry all day.

Superbowl XXXIII 1999

The last Superbowl of the 20th Century was a dull one in Miami's Joe Robbie Stadium.
John Elway's swansong at least gave the quarterback class of 1982 a Superbowl victory,
but this one must have been a heart breaker for Dan Marino to watch in his backyard.

Denver Broncos defeated the Atlanta Falcons by double digits.
Gloria Esteban and Stevie Wonder gave a pretty good halftime show.

Superbowl XXXII 1998

The defending World Champions Green Bay Packers, a franchise that NEVER LOST a Superbowl,
versus the Denver Broncos, a team that NEVER WON a Superbowl. Bret Farve versus John Elway in an epic struggle between age and youth.

The Broncos finally won the big one and John Elway finally got his Superbowl Ring. This was the NBC network's last Superbowl game and Announcer Dick Enberg went out in style.

Superbowl XXXI 1997

The Patriots returned to the Superbowl after 11 years and did not humiliate themselves. It was the Year of the Packers and Bret Farve prevailed by 14 points in New Orleans.
