Movie slump Theory : Not So Good

The president of the National Association of Theater Owners has attributed the slump in the box office this year to movies that are "not so good" as those released in previous years. As for the theory that DVDs are stealing patrons from the neighborhood multiplex, expect a drop in future DVD sales from recent movies that are NOT SO GOOD.

Perhaps serious movie makers need to move out of Hollywood and visit the American Heartland. These Beverly Hills residents have forgotten that movies are a communal experience. People want to cheer the good guy and boo the villain,
laugh with a 40 Year Old Virgin or cry over a Million Dollar Baby.
Is that too much to ask for?
Especially when movie ticket prices go up in November to cover the increase of minimum wage for movie ushers?
