NYC's Film Forum Theatre http://www.filmforum.org/films/faywray.html celebrates the centenary of the birth of Fay Wray on September 18th with a special screening of the classic silent film "The Wedding March" starring Fay Wray and Eric Von Stroheim (1927). http://imdb.com/title/tt0019558/

Following the screening, the Film Forum pays tribute to über-icon (and Film Forum member) Fay Wray (1907-2004) on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth, with tributes from Bruce Goldstein, Foster Hirsch and filmmaker Rick McKay (Broadway: The Golden Age)http://broadwaythemovie.com/, who’ll present excerpts of his forthcoming Fay Wray feature documentary, including a clip of the star watching her much-younger self at a Film Forum screening in 1999. Live piano accompaniment by Steve Sterner.

I enjoyed checking out the Fay Wray and Erich Von Stroheim links.

Von Stroheim's life was more exotic than many movies.

Re: Thanks!

When I asked Fay Wray about Eric as the "Man you love to hate," Fay said -"He was the man you loved to LOVE!"

In many ways, my journalism career became complete after interviewing her. All the interviews since have been gravy!
