The 22nd Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is just around the corner. FLIFF's Annual volunteer meeting and film will be August 27 at Cinema Paradiso. Meeting begins at 6:00pm followed by the film, Hollywood Dreams, at 8:30pm.

Volunteers will be needed between August through November pending their job interest and availability. Hours are flexible, they can work days or evenings and there are a variety of responsibilities including office help, theatre help, deliveries, mailings, data entry, marketing and even language translators. No matter the area in which a volunteer donates their time, they are invaluable to the success of FLIFF.

HOLLYWOOD DREAMS follows a young woman, with a life-long dream of achieving fame and stardom, from a small town in Iowa to Los Angeles. After a series of difficult and sometimes comic struggles she literally bumps into a self-styled "major producer / manager" who, together with his personal and professional partner, takes her under his wing. As her fate seems to have suddenly changed and her goal appears finally within reach, her romantic involvement with an exciting, complex up-and-coming young actor challenges her ideas of success, fame and love. Written and Directed by Henry Jaglom, the Hollywood Dreams stars Justin Kirk (Puccini for Beginners), new comer Tanna Frederick, Karen Black and Melissa Leo.
