"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" worth the ride

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a fun movie and captures the Obi Wan Kenobi spirit of the the late author,
Douglas Adams. Director Garth Jennings sets the jaunty tone with the intellect of a Monty Python caper.

The story begins with the end of the world and how everyman Arthur Dent (Martin Freeman) reacts to it. Along the way, Dent encounters the President of the Universe (Sam Rockwell), a suspected love child of President George Bush and Wendy O. Williams. Answers about the meaning of life are explored if Dent finds a way to devise the proper questions.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is pure science fiction with a sense of humor and good will.
The theme song, "So Long and Thanks for the Fish" deserves to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song.

See "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" for a Saturday Matinee price before it is buried by
"Star Wars Episode III : Revenge of the Sith."
