"An Inconvenient Truth" is a complicated look at simple science

"An Inconvenient Truth" is former Vice President Al
Gore's documentary about the end of the world. Filmed
during the wrath of Hurricane Katrina, Gore presents a
slide show with facts, figures, funny cartoons and
environmental devastation. With professorial respect,
Gore presents a sincere argument about the effects
global warming on Mother Earth. If Gore does not run
for the presidency in 2008, he could make a career
producing movies about science. Director Davis
Guggenheim does an entertaining job presenting the dry
academics environmental science.

It is too bad that Guggenheim did not have the
confidence to stay focused on the science. Instead,
"An Inconvenient Truth" sidetracks to
Gore's childhood home, his son's near death
experience, his sister's death from smoking her father's tobacco
and losing the 2000 presidential election.

"An Inconvenient Truth" is a science and lesson
plans can be found on
While the former vice president encourages political
activism (with solutions that seem to be found only in
the Democratic party), the solutions to global
warming is actually quite simple. Plant more trees
and heed the advice of my father; “When Not in Use,
Turn Off the Juice!”
