FLiFF: "The Life of Reilly" is no radio gameshow!

"The Life Of Reilly" is not a tribute to William Bendix radio show, but Charles Nelson Reilly's reflection upon his life. While he was mostly known as a talk show guest icon, Charles Nelson Reilly earned a serious reputation locally for his work with the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre. A veteran of the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre, Kenny Miller's, "Hollywood Inside & Out: The Kenny Miller Story" devotes a few pages to Charles Nelson Reilly's ability to improvise on stage.

Behind every clown, there are the tears. Reilly had a lobotomized aunt, an institutionalized father, a racist mother, and was the only gay kid on the block. Reilly presents his roller coaster life from sorrow to humor with master timing. Everytime you think something rotten is going to happen, Charles Nelson Reilly consistently pulls Bugs Bunny out of his hat."
