“The package will provide guests with a wonderful lunch here at the hotel in our new restaurant Vue on the Water. After that they’ll board the water taxi and head down to Sunrise Cinema’s at the Las Olas Riverfront to enjoy a festival movie and then they’ll water taxi back here to the hotel.” said Chris Tompkins, Director of Marketing for Gallery One. The package price, including complimentary self parking, is $25.00 inclusive.
“We are thrilled to be the official Film Festival Hotel. Having the film makers, stars and production people stay with us gives a unique energy and excitement for our guests. Seeing a movie and then seeing the actors and actresses in our lobby or dining areas gives the feeling of being at an international film festival like Cannes and the Berlin Film Fest,”
General Manager Bill Derbins , a 28 year veteran Hilton employee, said.
Guests are enjoying the property’s totally renovated 231 one and two bedroom suites, a new coffee/espresso bar and wine bar, a new interior and exterior cocktail lounge, and more than 8,000 feet of interior flexible function space and break-out meeting rooms that feature wall-mounted Plasma TV’s, wireless Internet, and floor to ceiling new décor and furnishings.
“Our new restaurant and its offerings were designed to appeal to both our guests and locals providing outdoor waterfront dining with unparallel views of the Intracoastal. Guests can enjoy a ‘boat parade’ everyday while enjoying a delicious meal and their favorite libations,” said Derbins.
“Throughout the Film Festival, there will be numerous events taking place at Gallery One, including film maker’s workshops, special parties and other programs designed to enhance the total Film Fest experienced,” said Hal Axler, Operations Manager of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.
