THE FORT LAUDERDALE CONCOURS DEBUTS 29 OCTOBER 2021

THE CITY'S FIRST CONCOURS SHOWCASING
CLASSIC CARS, MUSIC & POP CULTURE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (7 June 2021 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida) -- On Friday, 29 October 2021 the city will sizzle -- not from the temperature -- but from the heat emitting off the sleek, sculpted, stylish classic and vintage vehicles showcased at the Fort Lauderdale Concours (FTLC). Cars and culture intersect at the city’s first concours event which celebrates the automobile and its convergence with pop culture and luxury lifestyle. FTLC is a reinvented “classic car show” showcasing 30 rarely-seen iconic cars accompanied by live music and lifestyle curations with an edgy pop culture influence -- such as a high-end collector sneaker display matching selected cars. Featuring a 360º view of the city’s picturesque beach, marina and downtown skyline, the event takes place from 5pm - 10pm on the rooftop event space of the Las Olas Parking Garage at the Intracoastal Waterway (200 Las Olas Circle, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316).

Brought to you by the creators of The New York City Concours (TNYCC) which had its immensely successful premiere in September 2019, the FTLC is part of the Rooftop Concours Series designed to create a hipper concours experience to reinvigorate the established car collector and attract a younger, diverse car collector/enthusiast who are not currently being served by the concours d’elegance universe.

“As a former resident and small business owner of Fort Lauderdale, I’m thrilled to bring our concours series to my other favorite city which so perfectly mirrors the vibrant art scene and pulsating energy of New York.” states Maria Jannace, Founder and CEO of FTLC/TNYCC. “The concours features a lively party atmosphere that celebrates the country's love affair with the car and the special place it holds in our zeitgeist. Displaying a sophisticated gallery of automobiles that overlooks the ‘Venice of America’ during sunset, creates a truly stunning visual and emotional experience.”

The FTLC is working in collaboration with the renowned Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), the world’s largest in-water boat exhibit owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida which runs from 27-31 October. Though separate events, the FTLC will offer a special discounted ticket to FLIBS attendees thus welcoming the confluence of the automotive and recreational marine enthusiast in an ambiance of grandeur not previously presented. Additionally, FTLC has also partnered with the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) which will have a strong presence at the concours and begins its festivities the following week on 5 November through 21 November.

Further details on the event, including exhibits, partners, sponsors and charitable component, will be announced in July when tickets go on sale. Sign up for updates at ftlconcours.com.
