Laurel & Hardy

Some of the first silent film comedies I saw on TV were hilarious Laurel & Hardy silents from the 1920s. Their talkies were also funny and many of their great silent routines were included in their talking films.

I read William K. Eavenson's book from Citadel Publishers. When Stan and Ollie went to talkies, people commented that their voices, " sounded the way their voices should,"

My Mom and I always enjoyed this moment from "The Flying Dueces." I found a few other vaudiville vinettes and will post in time.

Happy New Yearr Cinema Star!

And Happy 2010 to you and yours, Cinema Dave! :)

Laurel and Hardy films make for great family viewing.

Back in the silent movie days many fans must have wondered how their favorite film stars sounded, especially before they were able to hear some of them on the radio.
