Cinema Dave attends the Florida Artist Book Prize ceremony.




Cinema Dave listens to Marie Marcano, the co-winner of the 2008 Florida Artist Book Prize. The other co-winner was her daughter, Veronica. The two ladies will split the $2000.00 check evenly.



Cinema Dave inspects the 44 books that were entered in the 2008 contest. The judges had their work cut out for them.

Hand Model extraordinaire Primavera Falwat displays the winning book from the 2008 Florida Artists Book Prize.

Created by Marie Marcano and her daughter, this book was inspired by Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

The award was given at the Bines Museum of the Modern Book, the sixth floor of the Broward County Main Library in Downtown, Fort Lauderdale on March 18, 2009.
