Sep. 5th, 2008 10:06 am Rebublican Convention Summary
Unlike last week's scripted stagecraft in Denver, this week's convention seemed ad-libbed and improvised. That is not necessarily a bad thing, because politics is fluid and malleable
Governor Sarah Palin's speech scared the status quo with her one liners and zingers. Reports are ciculating that since her speech, ten million dollars has been raised for Barrick Obama's campaign war chest. Mind you, this is ten million dollars, not ten million votes.
Senator John McCain's speech seemed to be delivered in three parts. the final third of his speech was the most riveting as the Senator from Arizona explained how the United States of America had saved his life when he was a prisoner of war.
It is post Labor Day and the political gloves are off until the first Tuesday in November. Yet South Florida will be facing the challenge of Hurricane Ike, a possible Category 4 Hurricane.
Will South Florida like Ike? Will the Hurricane perform like Ike Eisenhower or Ike Turner? Stay tuned!
