LENT DAY 18 Hollywood Icon Week on FOX News - CinemaDave

Feb. 22nd, 2008 07:00 pm LENT DAY 18 Hollywood Icon Week on FOX News

Like me, Bill Oreilly on Fox News is not excited about this year's Oscar's race.
This week he has produced Hollywood Icon Week and has paid tribute to the following actors;

John Wayne
Marilyn Monroe
Elvis Presley
Sean Connery
Doris Day.

Oreilly brought up some interesting points and had some quality guests related to the icon. I was so impressed that I e-mailed his show, so it might be read on his news show.

Dear Bill,

I appreciate your Hollywood Icon segments this week.
I also appreciate that you began the series with a
tribute to John Wayne, an inspirational figure from my
youth.

Given that NO one is talking about this year's academy
awards nominations, I think Hollywood could learn some
lessons about movie making and storytelling from the
Duke. As the Duke once said;

“I stick to simple themes. Love. Hate. No nuances. I
stay away from psychoanalyst's couch scenes. Couches
are good for one thing.”

Respectfully,

criticism given at the dinner table....."
