Sunday School: Cinema Dave and the Modern Goliath - CinemaDave

Sep. 16th, 2007 12:19 pm Sunday School: Cinema Dave and the Modern Goliath

Goliath has been on my mind lately.
This is a split subject for me because of my namesake and that I am taller than average.

That said, I found this biblical website this morning http://www.allaboutgod.com/goliath.htm which broke down Goliath as symbol of life's obstacles. In particular, this pronouncement;

The Unbelieving World.
The unbeliever is happy if the Christian is ineffective.
But if you share the Gospel and tell people about the wrath of God and judgment of sin,
you may experience an intense hatred from the unbelieving world.
Still, it is our duty to Christ, as Christians, to preach the truth, no matter what the cost may be, and to help fulfill The Great Commission.

Christians vs. unbelievers

(Link)
As an "unbeliever" and "Friend of Dave" I just wanted to share some comments. I am happy when Christians share love, generosity, and forgiveness. I am unhappy when they share wrath, judgement,and an unquestionable sense of rightness. I don't hate anyone. I just want to live my life, my way.

We are both on the same page about Christianity, both the happy and unhappy aspects of the subjects.
