Many callers heard on the Chicago area sports radio shows are debating whether or not the Chicago Bears are good enough to defeat New Orleans this Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Bears will have home field advantage with fans making noise problems for New Orleans.

Bears starting quarterback Rex Grossman has been streaky during the regular season. He has fluctuated from great to terrible and back again but in the playoff game last week his mistakes were minimal. There is a lot of talk saying it boils down to the "Good Rex" or the "Bad Rex" showing up on game day.

The New Orleans team is based indoors. The Chicago field is an outdoor one and if it's a cold day this is thought to be a Chicago advantage. The winning points may have to come from the kickers. Soldier Field is often difficult to kick in because of swirling winds and the Chicago kickers have more experience coping with the troublesome winds. It's expected to be a lively contest.

Given home field advantage with the winds from Lake Michigan, I would have to give the edge to Chicago.

Yet,
some New Orleans seem to have some guardian Angels on their side.
That game Saturday night had some great Hall of Fame moments given the variety of touchdowns.

I hope the pregame show features a lot of music from New Orleans and Chicago, either way, Blues School wins :)
