Alvin Toffler is a futurist who writes one big book a decade. In the 1970s, Professor Toffler wrote "Future Shock" and followed up with "The Third Wave" during the 1980s. In the early 1990s Alvin and his wife, Heidi, discussed "Powershift." This year the Professor Tofflers have published "Revolutionary Wealth."
"Revolutionary Wealth" is a 13 part CD and a 492 book with index. Expect many college position papers to quote the Tofflers. The ideas are overwhelming and they may take a little time to sink in. Start from the beginning and bulldoze your way through the 400 plus pages.
"Revolutionary Wealth" does put into context the war on terror and the return to religion. NGOs - Non Government Organizations will have an increasing impact on the world we live in, as opposed to government structures buried in bureaucracies.
Yet with all of this future shocks, powershifts and revolutionary trends, the Tofflers hail the power of individual achievement and the pursuit of happiness.
